Default Minox HG Bino "range estimation"

I am curious if anyone has tested the accuracy of the Minox HG range estimation on the focus. I am looking at getting a set of the more "compact" HG binos and it would be neat to be able to use this built in feature for bow hunting. I have a set of the 10x43 HG's but have never put the range estimation up against a quality range finder to verify it.

Well I am guessing that the folks at Minox based this off of someone having 20/20 vision for this to work. That said everyone's eyes are different. However, I played with my wife's Minox 10X43 HGs between 10-100 yrds in my yard a month or so ago and was suprised how well this actually worked compared to my rangefinder. I think it goes with out saying that YMMV though, especially if your eyes aren't 20/20. Best to test it out with your eyes.

That makes sense. I guess I will have to put it up against your CRF when I get back and go from there.
