    Hey guys what is that body of water called that connects Anchorage to the Ocean?

    That would be the Cook Inlet.

    It's depicted on many maps these days.

    BTW - Google Earth is your friend. It is not the tell all, show all, but it will give you some facts.

    Just looking at Google maps and you're right. They label most of the bays, but I don't see any tags for the Cook Inlet itself. Odd.

    Nothing worth seeing on the map of Cook Inlet........ NOW on the South shore of Turnagain Arm, is the Charming community of "SUNRISE, Alaska".......
