Default Barnes Triple Shock in 350 Rem Mag

I obtained some .358 caliber 200 grain, Barnes Triple Shock bullets. (Talk about expensive)
SO I figured I would try a few in my finicky Ruger M77MKII All Weather 350 Remington Magnum. It is hard to obtain good groups with this rifle.
Unfortunately I was using some CCI-200 primers from 1973. They are not very good, but what the heck....

    Here are some experiments with:
    53.0 grain of BENCHMARK
    57.0 grains of Reloader 10x
    63.0 grains of Reloader 15

The loads and velocity is listed on the photo...
This rifle likes to shoot 3 shots together and then throw two out...
At least I shoot 5 shot groups.

    Default Barnes

I use the 225 TSX in my 350 pushed by BLC(2) and have had excellent results. The new Barnes manual has a load using TAC by Ramshot and there is a noticeable increase in velocity, can't wait to give it a try. Good luck with the 350.

I have not seen any TAC powder on the Kenai Penn. Maybe up in Anchorage or the Matanuska Valley.
I would love to find a nice powder that is between RL-15 and RL-10x.

Boy Float Pilot, while not benchrest quality groups, it looks like you've found yourself a darn nice hunting load. Look out spring bears!

    Thumbs up 350 Mag

I have yet to find a better powder than RL 15 for the 350 Mag.

I use a Rem 600 .......have used prem bullets over the years 250 Nosler Part and Speer GS but the plain cheap Speer 250gr Spitzer SP did just as well on black bear and moose. Due to the lower Vel. I see no need for a Prem bullet in the 350 Mag.
