I believe the turn off (Willow Creek Parkway) to the Landing is near milepost 70 or 71, just north of the Willow Airport.

The Deshka River is approximately 6-7 miles from the Landing.

It is actually less than four miles by way of the Big Su. Closer if you take the short cuts.

    Default Poker Run

Never been all the way up there. Can we make it all in one day? How many miles and how do we find the Lodges without GPS. We're going on Saturday and would like to be back on Saturday Night.

What i did is google earth all the Gps,s and put that pin on them. Haven,t figured out the trip map thing yet. It will be a long run in one day, I,m thinking 10 hr,s On a SWT, I sold my hotdam go fast machine. But if you drive like them iron dog guy,s would be a breeze, I,m watching the weather got two different reports, The MSN one say,s -18-25 lows, And the one you can click on the link, from deshka site -5 to teens for high,s ??So we will be looking at that for sure,I won,t go out 200? mile trip in -20 below anymore. Been there done that, Just takes the fun right out of it.

    Smile Miles

I used Google Earth to get an estimate of miles.

    • Deshka Landing to Luce's Lodge- 25 miles
    • Luce's Lodge via Yentna River to Northwoods Lodge- 28 miles
    • Northwoods Lodge to Swentna Roadhouse- 13 miles
    • Swentna Roadhouse to Tal-Vista Lodge- 14 miles
    • Tal-Vista Lodge via Tal Shortcut to Luce's Lodge- 35-40? miles (sorry don't have the exact route on the map)
    • Luce's Lodge to EagleQuest (just outside the Deshka Landing Gate) 26 miles
Estimated total miles will be in the 140-150 range.

Can anyone else come up with better numbers?
