Default new vs old strike master

I have a old strike master ice auger and I love it. I was looking at the new ones and was wondering what people thought of the new engine?

    Default strikemaster 2000

I just got back from 4 days of fishing with a Strikemaster 2000 I bought a month ago. I drilled about 25 holes. It was hard starting every morning and has been everyday that I have used it. On the fourth day the shaft was freezing up in the crank case, I think that ice was getting in the seal. Mid-day today while I was finishing a hole the auger had a hard time fighting through the last bit. When I started to drill the next hole I noticed the blade was bent about 45 degrees somehow. My buddy has an Eskimo and it always starts within a few pulls and drills much faster that my Strikemaster.

just bought a new one after my 2000 crapped out. Love the new solo magnum compared to the 2000.
