Thumbs up Trail Report W.P.C. Willow AK. 1/14/10

It Snowed last night!!! Only about 3 inches. But we needed it. Temps are in the teens and they say these temps are going to hold over the weekend. All the main trails were groomed on Mon. and Tue. And we clean up after the AMMC race last Sat. So trails are ready for for rippin and riding. As of this report time Nancy Lake Rec. Area was still closed to riding. Just the East trail to Red Shirt is open!
Riding is great in Willow. Come out and have some fun!!!

Don't forget the Willow Winter Carnival starts in 2 weeks!!
Book your places to stay now so your not left out in the cold.

    Default Willow Updates

Thanks for the Willow updates Trail Boss. It's going to be a tough call between football and riding.

Are there any restrictions on riding sleds on Willow Lake? I've done it in the past, yet I never really see anyone else. I also used the WTC trails a couple times last year, and I really enjoyed the rides.

Please post any special Willow area rules in regards to the lake and trails.

    Thanks.

    Thumbs up Willow

Fri. ride was awesome, rode untract powder for many many can I say it again many miles! It was no problem going up and back.
As for the ? on Willow Lake there is no place on the lake that you cannot ride your snowmachine. But remember that all the way around it is Private Property. And there are 4 legal ways on and off the lake. The west and the east at the Comumity Center are the most used.
    Have fun out there!!
