Default Gun shows-what are you looking for?

With the gun show coming up at Wasilla High this weekend, I thought I’d ask, what’s on everyone’s list? Anything in particular you’re looking to pick up? I'm going to go early and try to get back for the game on Saturday.

Besides the subjective “good deal” I’ve had the lever-gun bug and will be cruising for a 357 mag, 44, or possibly a 444 lever and a good deal on any of those calibers in a Winchester, as well as another 357 or 44 revolver. Too bad my pocketbook isn’t as big as my list!

Hoping to run into some good deals on reloading stuff too.

Anyone else specifically looking for a specific caliber or type of firearm?

    Tim

Well, just about everything that can be found at gun shows you can usually buy/find cheaper if buying it new or cruising the internet. Regardless, if I stumble upon a Leupold scope at a good price or a nice lever action .22 then I might bring it home.

Be nice to finally see nice used firearms priced below what new ones cost at local stores.
In all fairness I don't plan on attending unless I can't find a poker game or football is boring.

I'd like to find a clean 336 35 Rem, or a nice FN Mauser.

    Default Many interests

If I don't have to go outta town on work related issues I'll be looking for '03 Springfield rifles or stuff or just good deals in interesting stuff.

If you have too narrow a focus you probably won't find anything

If someone produces a stainless Mod 70 6.5x55, I'll pay a fair price. Wallet depth is really only a relative matter of having your priorities straight. I have enough fat to live off of for awhile...who needs to eat?

Looking for books and magazine articles that discuss Alaska's legendary bear man, Allen Hasselborg.

    Specifically these titles;

The Wild Grizzlies of Alaska, John Holzworth.
    Hunting American Bears, Frank Hibben

Alaska Dept of Fish and Game publication "Alaska Fish Tales and Game Trails" Nov-Dec 1970 and Fall 1980. Two articles by Amos Burg of Juneau.

Hope to see some book sellers there.

I just rememberd that a guy from Fairbanks had a Belgium Browning scoped 270 at the show in Palmer last spring and I didn't have enough cash on hand to get it that Sunday eve.

Should you happen to read this and still have it and will be at the show this weekend, bring it and I will buy it.

Nice rifles and God forbid a double rifle or two, but I realize I'm dreaming.

Another thing I'd like to find is a rifle barrel for a Savage 219/220. Probably just dreaming though.

Always 'looking" for a Pre-64 Winchester 94, 32Spl. May need home loan to buy one though.
Second choice, Original boxes of Savage Ammo. 300 Sav, 250/3000. Always "looking"
never see any. Vintage ammo gets snatched up faster than a ham sandwitch at the
    mission buffet.
The big local Gun shows have plenty to see and buy so maybe one of these days I`ll strike it rich..
