    Default Lower unit compatabilty

I have a 1991 Evinrude 115 and I'm looking to replace my jet unit with a prop unit. Does anyone know how/where I can find what years/sizes of lower units will match up to mine?

I've googled and searched and have yet to find a definitive answer.....

    Thank you...

    for prop to jet.

But you need jet to prop. Luckily Johnson Evinrude is OMC and yours is a v4 looper gear case haven't changed in years. Call a dealer all they will need to know is short long or xl long for the driveshaft length.

    ouch looks like $1,700

Maybe try putting out a want ad on craigslist... I know my uncle had an outboard of a similar year with a jet on it that he sold a while back. He had a couple lower units sitting around that he might still have, I could look through the grapevine for ya if needed....

Thanks guys... I actually did place an ad on CL and thats kinda the reason I wrote this thread. Had people reply with lower units from the 1970s and 75 thru 135 horses...... Thats where I got stumped.

I'm just not sure what matches up to mine. Guess I'll call around..

    Appreciate it fellas...

Phone J. Kimberly Services in Anchorage and ask for Kim....he is a top notch mechanic works on lots of older motors, esp evinrude and Johnson. I don't have an Anchorage phone book so will let you look up for yourself....
