Default Need input, spotter, nikon, pentax, kowa

Okay, yep another spotter post, and yes pretty much read every post that came up.

I have it narrowed down to 3

Going with the nikon fieldscope III non ed (60mm)

    Pentax 65pf ed

Kowas, the not ed or promeniar

I currently have a nikon spotter II, its okay, looking to upgrade a bit, my sheep hunt we used my brothers swaro 65, got a bit spoiled but no way I can put up that cash right now

So looking for a middle of the road scope, I've looked through the nikon but really won't be able to "test" any out. Won't be able to look at low light, high sun, etc., so was wodering what everyone would pick between the three, the are all pretty close in price,

    Thanks

Kowa has some new stuff coming out. Saw the teaser in the press releases but no detais yet. Might be worth the wait. I'll post if I see something soon.

I am out of the country but I can get my wife to pull my pentax from the pile-o-junk in the garage so you can take it for a test drive. I am considering selling it but wont know if that is a go until probably July. I too have been spoiled with a buddies german scope so I may be looking to upgrade this fall if funds allow. It is like new, and has only been on 1 hunt where I had no problem proving that none of those distant white spots had the headgear to warrant a closer inspection...

Thanks for the offer,,,I ended pulling the trigger on the Angled pentax with a Smart Astronomy zoom,,,,,its a pretty sweet scope

I put it on a manfratto tripod with the built in grip head, mini modo I think

All for under 700, I'm real happy with it, have a window in the office I've been testing in out with

    I like it

Cool, did you have to do the scope ring mod to get the eyepiece to drop in further for it to reach full focus?
