Default lower fire lake fishing report

the first clue should have been the lack of ANY other auger holes in the lake...... needless to say it didnt get any better after that...

4 hrs, multiple locations and no fish.

    On to the next experiment

I fished Lower Fire mulitple times last winter with the same results.... It's hit or miss during the summer. I have seen some decent pike in there and seen a fella full out a 20+ rainbow, but, i've given up on that place. At least you got to get out on the ice though, always a good day when that happens. I might head out to Delong tomorrow. Hopefully run into something!!

since the state started the war on pike, they rebuilt the dam (lowering the lake killing a bunch of pike eggs I'd bet), and stopped stocking rainbows, LFL has not been great. The remaining pike ate the wild rainbows instead of the stockers. I remember days I'd pull out 6-10 real nice wild rainbows down there. Pike fishing has been pretty slow for a few years too.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
