Default Boat Hooks what do you think of this one?

One of my suppliers makes these boat hooks and i'm thinking of adding them to my line so what do you guys think of this one?? I don't know about you but i'm tired of the chinsey plastic one's that are available. you won't be breaking this one easily and it will fit on the end of a nice thick closet pole. Lemme know what you think of these. Made of cast aluminum and this one is designed for use with rope up to 1" or so & the hole for the pole is 1-1/2". They make them for use with up to 4" lines

Looks like a good solid hook potbuilder. Would be nice if the ball ends would be rubber coated or dipped in a rhino lining material so it would be a little easier on paint or just dip the whole thing for that manner. Just a thought. I agree on the cheap plastic hooks. Lost my rubber tip first time out last year.

Your choice of colors and the thickness depends on how many times you dip it. We used to use the heck outta this stuff on the Coastie ships, we had 5 electricians and used it to mark our tool from the other guys everyone got a different color, plus it is great for coating weights. Dip brush or they make a spray on and it will self level to a point.

A boat hook is one thing I don't have on my boat yet.

Then you need one of these mount it on a nice wooden closet pole(floats when you drop it overboard !!) and its one of those things you'll only have to buy once(unless somebody steals it) cause these ain't gonna break easily.

    Default I just

had to have a alarm system installed and monitered in my house cause I have been broke into TWICE in 2 years. Almost 10,000 between the two. Someone goes to steal from me, well, I am libal to shoot first, then bury the carcass somewhere.

So if you have these I may just have to make another trip to the barn.....
