Default KwikFish Eulogy.... farewell K15 and K16

Yep, it's true.... these veteran plugs are being given the boot from the Rapala/Normark line-up. Just another casualty of the Luhr Jensen takeover.

Stock up while supplies last as inventories and production will be cut WAY back in preparation for the final phase-out.

How very bizarre that they would cut such a useful lure. Do they not get much in the way of sales outside of Alaska? I've already got quite the arsenal of kwikfish, but I guess I'd better go buy a few more.

Like I need another excuse for buying any fishing stuff, especially Kwik fish. It will make you think when you send your number 1 plug down river.

this is why I need to figure out a way to refinish all my beat up old kwikfish. I must have 300 K-16's but most need a paint job.

Has anyone evr caught a king on an X16? I tried them but never got a hit. Just completely gave up on them.

Been successfully catching Kenai kings with K16-X's since 2005.

Flat-lined, esp in the slowest water, inside rod.

There's only one hole in the entire lower river that requires a diver.

They sell the heck out of them in WA, OR, northern CA, and ID.

If anyone has their e-mail address I bet we could get a lot of "save the K's" pleas to their in box. Maybe they will even listen? I catch about 60% of my fish on eggs/spin-n-glows and 40% on Kwikfish - usually with sardine wraps. Flatfish don't work nearly as well either so no options there.

    Smile Good news!

    No need for e-mails.

The plugs are here to stay.... really...

Scroll down to post #36 for the real scoop from a bonafide LJ insider.

I feel bad for perpetuating the rumor on this board, but I do love my old standby Kwiks, as do many of you. Just didn't want folks to be left out without a decent supply for the coming season

Sorry if I caused any panic or unwanted purchases
