Thumbs up Trail Report Winter Park Cabins Willow AK. 12-21-06

It's a great day in Willow 21 degrees, 8inches of new snow on the 11inch base. As Trailmaster for the Willow Trail Comm. we were out all day monday while it was snowing grooming like crazy doing all the outer trails. Tuesday we work on all the trails close to town. Over the weekend we work on clearing trees and puting up lots of new signage. The trails to the rivers are in great shape. And now the swamps are getting to be the place to play! Hey Check This Out!! The New Maps Are Done!!!! Pick them up at Eagle River Polaris Artic Cat, Alaska Snowmachine Salvage, Hatcher Pass Polaris, The Texaco Liquor Store and Grocery in downtown Willow. Also at Denali Air Service at the Willow airport. So with all the new snow it is great riding in Willow at Winter Park Cabins! Merry Christmas to All and to All A Great Ride!!!!

    Default directions

Take the glen highway toward wasilla, go through wasilla and continue on that road and youll come into willow, you can unload at the community center just past the gas station there. or you can turn right on the hatcher pass road and drive up as far as you can get, and there are some plowed parking areas. Wink Go North

Willow is about 70 miles north of Anchorage on the Parks hywy. You will need to go pass Wasilla by about 1/2 a hour. Free parking at Westgate Center on Crystal Lake Rd. or at the Willow Community Center.
