    Default Nushagak or Kenai?

Which would you choose to go after Kings in the second or third week of june? The Kenai would be a DIY or the Nushagak would be with a cousin living in dillingham. The goal would be to experience the best fishing possible for a alaskan fishing rookie.

The Duke brothers make it look easy but how hard is it for a rookie that has never fished for them?

What are some of the pitfalls that I should be concerned with?

Any other videos or sources that anyone can recommend for kings would be greatly appreciated.

Nushagak, hands down. Fishing the Kenai gives you a chance at a big king. Fishing out of Dillingham gives you an ALASKAN EXPERIENCE!

    Numbers of fish = Nushagak

    Huge fish = Kenai

    Nush, hands down.

I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

Ditto for the Nushagak! I love that place and go there every year with the family.

This is kind of a "Chevy / Ford " topic I usually don't get involved in. The Nushagak will undoubtedly provide greater number of strikes, but a friend once told me many years ago, "there is no substitute for horsepower". Applied here, the Kenai will always give you an opportunity for a world class king, something the Nush cannot.

I would go to the nush for shure ive had 50 to 60 fish days. Just make shure the fish are there when you go they don't hang around the lower part of the river long...
