Temperatures have increased over the past 3 days. Highs have been in the low to mid 20's. Lows at night have been in the low 20's.
Snow Depth At Landing Parking Lot:
Over the week we have received about 8" of new snow at the Landing.
All of the main trails have been groomed and staked up through Skwentna with the exception being the Overland Trail to the Tal from Luce's which should be put in over the next few days. Conditions on the Su have become better with the additional snow in the past week, however it is still somewhat bumpy in places. The trail on the Su will take you around the open leads, and the trail on the Yentna is far superior to the conditions on the Su. Stay on the trail because getting off of it in the deeper snow could give you some issues. A few people have personally shared their stories over the past few days about having to dig out their machines. Some guys have started hauling heavier loads, and the other day I even saw about 440 gallons of fuel heading to Lake Creek. Traffic was good this past weekend and there have been riders out over the past two days. We are expecting a good amount of traffic starting Thursday through the weekend because the weather should be great and the trails are in good shape. There have been two different users going out through the swamp to get to their cabins near Rolly Creek. They have been hauling some light loads which makes the trip possible, however it is not enjoyable.
