    Default Hypothetically Speaking...

If you had to come back to life as a fish, what species would you want to come back as? Why? Where do you call home?

I couldn't find a threat along this line of discussion and I thought maybe it would create some interesting conversation.

I would be an Assasi Triggerfish. They live in the Red Sea (which isn't a bad place to live if you are a fish). They aren't the largest but they have very few predators. They are also pleasing to the eye.

    I'd be a salmon shark.

That way, I could fish for salmon all the time and I wouldnt have a retention limit.

    Default Trout

I liked the 30" rainbow answer. I guess not everyone did.
All the romance of trout fishing exists in the mind of the angler and is in no way shared by the fish.

The concept of reincarnation is hogwash. No one here is going to "come back" as a fish.

Well, I am actually the human reincarnation of a small baitfish...I was hounded, hunted, bitten at, chased, mauled, and eventually eaten by a larger predatory fish...so, I came back as me, a fisherman, intent on catching and eating lots of those predatory fish that so terrorized me in my previous life. I want to up the ante and come back next time as a Bering Sea trawler.

Definitely a shark...I like the salmon shark idea for their diet. However, I am most fascinated with the Great White. Awesome creature!

A 1,000 pound Black Marlin somewhere lurking in a warm ocean, eating fresh sushi pretty much whenever.
