If they sell for near MSRP I'll likely pass 'em up and buy another CZ550 Safari. Weight is almost the same, CZ comes with a longer bbl, better stock for recoil distribution, integrated ring-mounts instead of bases and rings, and it holds an extra two rounds. Plus it saves me about $300 to put into the optic fund

Of course, I've never really been a fan of Winchester bolt guns, so that may color my opinion somewhat...

Diesel Nut- Do you have the Safari with the european style stock or one of the American Safaris?

It'll be interesting how the Winchester is designed. It says "deluxe cheekpiece" in the description.

Aww man... When I saw the title I got all excited because I thought you meant stuff like 375 Winchester & others in their lever guns...

    Default Big bores

I had the same reaction - mainly cause I just finally shelled out for a 94 .450 Timber Carbine. Now if I can only find some brass.

Still kinda wondering why someone has not started making the big bore Winchester 94 lever guns again. It looks like there would be a market judging from the prices the used ones bring and the popularity of the Marlin guns.

At least the long action bolt guns are a good sign.

    YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Side x Side doubles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully Winchester doesn't miss the mark on this one. They'll need to put together a solid rifle to compete with CZ and Ruger.

    .
Gator guns here in Kenai has some but it's a bit spendy for me. About $75.00 for 50. I think I paid about $50.00 per 50 for mine. The 450 is worth it though (mine is a Guid Gun)!

American Safari. They hogback stock on the Euro gun just doesn't fit me right, even though it has a very unique appearance. She's big and heavy, but handles remarkably well and shoulders almost as nicely as my Beretta O/U.
