Default Extremely sad news from Wasilla

It's with great regret that I have to report that Harry Brunnhoelzl, the man behind Grouse Ridge Shooting Grounds in Wasilla has passed away. This comes just two weeks after his son, Harry Brunnhoelzl III also passed. They will both be missed.

Please keep Arlene in your thoughts and prayers. To lose her husband and father-in-law within two weeks must be devastating.

Here's a picture of Harry in better times. RIP my friend. You are one of the reasons I keep coming back to Alaska.

Very tragic. My thoughts go out to the family.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

That is very sad news indeed, I'm wearing one of their shirts right now as I read this. God bless them both and their families. I shot sporting clays with him a few times in the early 90's and found him to be a good man

Default Memorial Services for Harry Brunnhoelzl

Memorial services for Harry Brunnhoelzl of Grouse Ridge Shooting Grounds will be held on Saturday, December 19, at St. Michael's in Palmer at 1pm. Reception will follow at the Church.

Please bring your best "Harry" story, preferably in writing, as we are compiling stories for an article for Sporting Clays magazine. If you cannot attend the memorial service and would like to submit a story, you may send it to Grouse Ridge or fax it to (907) 373-0962, Attn: Lindy.

    Thank you.

I spent many great nights out there with my friends and kids when I lived nearby.
    What happened, natural or otherwise?
