Wednesday we reached 31 F in early afternoon. Low overnight was around 28 F. Very breezy Thursday morning.
    Weather History

Snow Depth At Landing Parking Lot:

The snow at the Landing was greatly affected due to the rain and warm temps earlier in the week. We now have a base of about 2 inches. We received about 3" of new snow on top of that on Monday, about 2" on Wednesday, and about an inch early Thursday morning. Snow is wet and heavy which is making it compact down.

    Trail Conditions:

Temps now staying below 32 F should help out freezing some of the overflow. New snow has covered up all tracks and trails are not groomed or marked yet. Zero people went out on Tuesday and we only had 4 people go out on Wednesday, but tracks are probably covered up with new snow. New snow should help out smoothing out the ice jumbles, however it is so wet and heavy that it is bogging down machines on Tuesday. We only have a few inches at the Landing, but there 2 feet fell at Luce's, 3 feet at Skewntna, and 6 feet at Shell Lake. Many spots have iced over, but are still not solid. Cold temps should help out over the next few days. Trail may be groomed down to the Yentna if the conditions are good enough over the next few days.

Thursday afternoon Larry H. groomed from the launch to the "House with many windows" near the mouth of the Deshka. There was too much overflow to continue grooming so he had to turn around.
