    Default movie

"No Land for the Timid" by Art Laha. Shot in early 60's. Hasn't been in production for probably 15+ years.

Not to sidetrack your original post but I remember some great films from when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's about Alaska being shown in the movie theaters. Wish there was a way to find out what the name of those were and get a copy to see them again. Anybody remember any of them?

No Land for the Timid. One of my favorite videos! I used to watch it all the time when in high school.

Which one had the polar bear getting shot about six times before it expired? And the walrus hunts? It was in color. Is that "No Land for the Timid?"

OK I did a little digging and think I found the movies I was thinking of. They were made by a guide named Ron Hayes and the titles are
    North country 1973
    World Safari 1970
    Alaskan Safari 1968
    Arctic safari 1964
    Safari in Alaska 1965
Anybody remember them? Anybody know where to get a copy. My Google search hasn't found a source.

That one was released twice under two different titles. Was done by John Jordan of Jordan's Carpets in Anchorage. Might contact him to find the details.

    Raven,
Did you know Art and Denny T well? or were you too young?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. That part of the post was a clip from another site. I did not know them at all. Let me see if I can edit that to make it clearer.
Nope I guess you can't back to a post that old.
