    Default Unusual sighting

I just drove back from Valdez Saturday evening and the only moose I saw were at mile 19, out of Valdez, licking salt at the sand barn.

I use to see them there all winter, I would say the most unusual part is that you did not see any other moose up the richardson towards Glennallen. Not sure which way you headed from there but I would frequently see them past long lake.

Was it just one or a group of them?

It was just a cow and calf. I didn't realize moose could survive on that side of the pass which is why I thought it was unusual.

i would see them all the way into the Rhobe River area all year long. The season is any bull and have known some people to have been successful during the season.
