    Default Rabbitt pictures

Here's a few pictures from a rabbit hunt my buddy Jeff and I went on one day before the ptarmigan trip.

    Jake,

No I didn't, we went to the area I said we were going to try for ptarmigan and ended up doing fairly well. I'm going to get out and try some other areas on the way down to Kenai and then will probably hit the spot we just went to one more time in the spring. I would like to find several good areas so I can alternate where I hunt and manage the population, so there will be good numbers for many years to come.

When you get back we should plan a bunny of ptarmigan trip up north

Yeah I would definetly like to get a little hunt going on while I'm back. I should be back right before Christmas, and will leave after the new year. What day are you heading down to the peninsula.

Dan - Be careful with what you show in the backgrounds of your pictures. I know that spot and have hunted it a couple of times. It's a great spot, but the hunting pressure there has already increased a lot just in the last year from my informal observations. It's not too difficult to figure out spots when there is a clear background posted on the internet. I admire your desire to not overhunt an area so as to manage the population, but posting pictures that show where you're at can undermine that effort.

I'm pretty sure I know that area too. If I'm right, I walked it Sunday looking for predators. Lots of rabbit sign, very skittish rabbits.
    Finally, Brad Childress is GONE!
