    Default Turnagain Pass now open

From the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center (CNFAIC), Turnagain Pass is now open to snowmachining. Be safe.

Be careful out there, guys. The pack in the pass is not the most stable right now.

    OK now I'm really confused.......
I've received more than one warning about avalanche danger in this area. However the sight rates the danger as "moderate" and "natural avalanches are unlikely" "the snow pack has stabilized since Mondays storm"

Sounds OK for some cruising to me? Not a high marking kind of guy anyway I just want to take a ride and be safe, get out and play at bit.

How about a discussion on this from some of the more experienced riders? I want to get out but I'd like to come home as well.

Rick - The warning I sent you was based on Monday's report. Looks like things have improved. Have a great time! I might head up there to make some turns on the non-motorized side on Saturday.

Sometime this winter we need to have a Tundra gathering somewhere close. Be safe!

That would be great Dirtofak! Tracy and Gunther could ride the 09 and I could go vintage on the 88. I have a good friend who rides a mid 90's Tundra, always a blast to ride together no matter which sled I'm on.

The 09 got a face lift, we've gotten about 2 inches of snow in the last couple of hours so I'll have her out for pics in the next day or too. Cant wait to show her off!
