Temps were in the high 20's on Monday, and in the 30's on Tuesday.
Snow Depth At Landing Parking Lot:
7" on 11/11, trace of snow on 11/23 which turned into water due to temps being in the 30's. Ground covering is now wet and heavy.
11/24 You can no longer reach the Deshka from the Landing due to the amount of open leads. With the amount of water open and lack of snow it is highly suggested not to snowmachine until things firm up. Today a guy came in from above Yentna Station. His trip took him 4.5 hours and 68 miles due to trying to find safe passing areas. He said there are many tracks out on the ice that lead to holes or turn around and go in other directions. The Yentna and Su conditions are not good due to the ice jumbles and lack of snow. It may be possible to go out Rolly Creek however your trip will not be fun. Save the gas and your life to snowmachine later when things improve.
