    Default HiViz sights on revolvers

Interesting to see that a professional speed demo revolver guy, Jerry Miculek, uses HiViz sights on his revolvers. I'm guessing he could use any sight he wants.

In video clips, they seem to aid quick target acquisition.
Any drawbacks to Hi Viz sights such as durability in the field, cold weather tolerance, stuff like that?

    Thanks.

Jerry could shoot with an 8 penny nail. I know of no problem with HiViz sights and like them plus they sponsor Jerry

I put them on my Super Redhawk- I like them a lot.
The only problem is in very low light conditions- they lose a lot of intensity.

    Question single six

Know of any to fit a .22 single six ruger convertable?

I've been looking and asking elsewhere and had no luck so far.

    Thanks

Being as my eyes are as clear as Barack Hussein Obama's (Mm Mm Mm) origins, I need the High Viz-is

But only to shoot modern revolvers

The Hi-Vis also works pretty good with the one ragged hole sights for the Ruger & BFR's for quick target acquisition - at least they do for me.

They have been around for awhile. I wouldn't want to drop one from shoulder height onto rocks but I think their pretty sturdy. They are nice for old eyes that have a little trouble with sight alignment. I like the green Hi-Viz insert.

No front sight options for the Alaskan that I know of so I painted it brass color

Thumbs up Another old timer vote for HiViz...

As my eyes have gotten older they are actually better with some things...like seeing through media hype and spin...but front sights are getting blurry.

I mounted a red/orange HiViz on my .454 Ruger SRH a few years ago. That pistol gets a lot of field time with me every year, and the sight has held up just fine. I really like it...it's like having a light-bulb at the end of my pistol.

I've got the green HiViz on some of mine. They sure do help.
I'm going to order one of those "oneraggedhole" sights. Thanks for the link.
