I don't know about buying copies, but the planning departments of organized boroughs have very detailed maps. After that I'd look to BLM, USGS or the state lands office for areas outside the boroughs, or within if they can't provide a copy.

The map store at the APU campus might have what you are looking for. They have maps/charts of EVERYTHING.

    Default BLM

You can get a general land status ownershiup map from BLM. I dont think it is what you are looking for though.

The BLM maps only show General Land Status at a Sectional level. If you want property maps, go to the Borough assessors office(I asume you want to check the Mat-Su Borough) and check the area you want to go. You can also check the Borough's and State's website to identify Borough and State lands. Make sure you double check your info as the mapping is not updated in real time, as is innacurate at times.

Here is a link to the Borough's mapping http://www.matsugov.us/DWF_maps/index.cfm

you can check state mapping here:

Let me know if you have any questions or need some pointers.

Default Alaska Public Lands Information Center

Not sure where you live, but there are several APLICS around the state that can give you lots of info on public land. http://www.nps.gov/aplic/
They are located in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Tok and Ketchikan. Not only do they sell maps, but they have lots of free publications as well. They represent all the land interests in Alaska, including BLM, USFWS, State of AK, etc...
    Hope that helps.

DNR (state) and BLM (fed) have records of land ownership for the state. they are probably your best bet.

DNR has (or at least had) such a thing.

Here is a CIRI site that shows general locations of Cook Inlet Corporate as well as village lands.

Borough records are the best for detail and legalities, but beyond the maps, they can be difficult to navigate.
