Default Picked up a nice Savage 1899B in .303 Savage yesterday.

its a 1899B the B eludes to a 26" octagonal barrel. Its in great shape and all original. Its a .303 Savage circa 1904. It will look great next to my 1908 vintage 1899B in .303 Savage that was once my great Grandfathers.

    Congratulations! What a great score!

As you know, I'm a fan of the rifle and the round. Hopefully the bore is in as good shape as the rest of the rifle. And you're right. Great companion for your granddad's rifle.

    Default I LIKE It!!!

Actually, I'm sorta jealous, as one just like yours has eluded me for a long time. Okay, there's lots of 'em around, but the price tags are always just that little bit too far beyond my comfort zone.....
Now the real chase comes. Finding brass or ammo! Good luck there!

Nice find. I've kind of been looking for one of those as I have a few boxes of the origional Savage ammo that my grandfater had from a store he owned back in the 50's
