    Default Game processors

Heading to Kodiak in a couple of weeks for a deer hunt. Question I have, is there a game processor in Kodiak? I'd like to have it done in Kodiak and then shipped home frozen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Probably posted this in the wrong forum.

I'm not aware of any, but I didn't go looking too hard either. When I hunted Kodiak I put my meat in a ice chest (without ice) then handed it over to ERA aviation to put in their freezer. It arrived in Anchorage frozen.

Your best bet would be to call your air taxi or transporter and ask them for recommendations. They might even have a freezer where you can freeze your meat.

I happen to butcher my own meat, so cutting it up in Kodiak was no issue for me.

    Default Thanks for your reply

Guess I'll check with the transporter. Who knows, might not even need a processor. Hope not though, I'm hungry for some backstrap, keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks again.
