Default Mirror Lake and Hillberg Ice..

FYI to anyone planning on heading to Mirror or Hillberg on EAF- Just got back and Mirror has about 5-5.5" ice about 30 yards in and still looks soft about 50 yards out, didn't catch anything so headed to Hillberg and went in about 20 yard from the ramp and punched 3 holes and had about 5.5 to 6" of ice there, caught around 30 or so in about an hour, biggest 11" and alot of 9's and smaller. Best of luck to all and good fishing!

We fished Kalmbach lake here in the valley today. Only 4 1/2" of ice so we were pretty careful out there. Fishing not that good. Caught 4 little ones. Went over and tried a pond that has decent fishing and caught one real nice rainbow about 18". The ice there was about 8".

Fished Mirror Lake with my son today for about 2hrs and got 5 total, all over 13 inches and biggest 15 inch. Seems like the biggen's are traveling in about 6-8ft of water and schooling pretty good. Ice is 10inch plus and great weather today..Get the kids out and catch some fish! Small clams and shrimp.

    Default Clams..

What ever clams are on sale at WalMart, seems like the fish have a real hankering for savings.
