    Default .30Cal sabot

Has anybody had experience with these? http://www.maadigriffin.com/sabots.htm If they are safe I would like to try them. It adds to the versatility of the trusty .30-06.

    Happy holidays

Default 30 cal sobots in 7.62X25

My dad and I have worked up some loads for the CZ 52 pistol, using these. They boost the speed up quit a bit. We found them to be good at pistol range. The one problem that we found with use in rifle is that the sabot dosen't always seperate at the muzzel and throws accuracy off greatly. For short ranges they are fine but much past 50 meters you will get minute of pie pan size groups. Also if you do deside to shot the make sure you have good hearing protection, they are much louder than normal rifle rounds.
Good luck and have fun exparementing.

    Default That bad, huh?

Thanks. You just saved me some expense and a lot of time and frustration. It did seem like a good idea though.
