    Question 09 600 ETEC Exhaust

Im looking to put a different muffler on my Summit 600 ETEC mostly to shave more weight. I like how quiet it is im just looking to shave pounds. Any suggestions out there?

The reason it is quiet is due to that suitcase. Put on a can and it will be obnoxiously loud, besides; how much will you drop? I would bet a tablespoon of castor oil will get you the same weight loss and cost vastly less.

Changing cans involves re-jetting. Etecs are computer controlled. You can't make the adjustments. Before I modified the exhaust I'd talk to your dealer's service tech.

In referance to your question regarding silencer change out. HPS or DYNO Port both make light weight, quiet silencers that are factory recomended for the ETEC motor
