    Default when is the season open till?

    I really want to go out after christmas. Do I have to bow hunt or can I take my rifle?

    907 - You might be referring to the Haul Road (Dalton Highway) instead of the Steese Highway. That season doesn't end anytime soon, but you do have to be a certified bowhunter to hunt within 5 miles of the road. Some people ski or snowshoe in the 5 miles during winter, but I would wait until March when you have much more daylight.
