Thread: Opinions on Minus33 merino wool long johns?

Default Opinions on Minus33 merino wool long johns?

Anyone have any experience with the merino long underwear sold by Minus33? Their prices are significantly lower than most, but I wonder about quality and fit. Feel free to PM me if you'd rather send info that way.

Like many of you guys, I'm a merino convert. But so far, Smartwool is the only brand I'm familiar with. I very happy with that brand, but I can't help but wonder if there are other less expensive substitutes.

    Thanks

When I find good deals on merino I buy it. So far I have had very good luck with every brand I have tried. Browning sox and mid weights are great, I also have smartwool and some off brands that have served me well. Why not post a link so the rest of uscan check them out?

We sell -33 at Barney's and I own some. It's great quality, lasts longer than Smartwool, and costs MUCH less than Smartwool. Of Smartwool, -33, and polarmax merino wool it's the best thing going quality and price wise.

Wow, good tip in this thread. Merino works so well when damp, but it's not easy to find discounted at end-of-season sales. Also a great thing to have a shop where for virtually everything in the shop, "if it's at Barney's it's good" .

This stuff sounds good; the full zip-T looks handy. And a 100% merino wool hoody?! Thanks.

steepandcheap.com has merino wool for cheap pretty consistantly. I have outfitted both my wife and I w/ smartwool from them.

A Merino Wool Hoody I'm ordering one.. My wife crocheted an Alpaca wool hoody for my daughter and there was over $150 just in yarn alone. For $110 for that one it'll be an easy sell to the wife
