Arrow Here is the text of the proposal, as submitted

Too big to put the text here, so I've attached it to this post as a PDF file.

This is a tax that doesn't go to support the resource. Sounds like crap to me. It opens the door for Fins and Feathers to go after the dipnetters.

    BAD IDEA IMHO.

    Question Where's that door?

So by the same logic you must be against the current mandatory Hunter Ed. requirement. Right?

I'm not getting what door this opens for anyone to "go after dipnetters".

Comparing hunting (with firearms and various game management areas) to dipnetting is a stretch IMHO.

    It's a tax. Who profits?

Default It's not a profit to anyone

His idea is to get the conversation going. His proposal does that. Any better idea's?

If there is a fee, someone profits. Why not include a mandatory rules sheet that's required to be read and initialed? or, only dispense dipnet "cards" or whatever they are called at F&G offices?

    What's the big problem now?

I didn't realize it was his idea.

There is still plenty of time to submit that; here is the form:
    http://www.boards.adfg.state.ak.us/b...s/propform.php

I'd like to see more participant-generated solutions on the table; not less. Its important to show others the truth of the matter: that a great many dipnetters do care. That (fact) is presently located somewhere between seldom and not known.
