    Default Fishfinder Advice

So I am considering buying a fishfinder for my 19 ft jetcraft. I primarily run lakes and rivers, but also make occasional trips to Seward. Ideally, I would like to pick up a color model with a GPS function, but I'm not really interested in spending $400.
Anyone have any suggestions for models to look at, or features that I should ensure I get? I've seen people talk about the versatility of dual-frequency models, but don't really know that much about it.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

    Kyle,
What ever you do, as you said, get the GPS function.

What ever you do don't let him party outside of your tent at Fishapalooza!!!!

OOPS, I thought you said Phish Finder advice!!

Seriously though you can't go wrong with a Lowrance unit and this one is about as cheap as you're going to get for a colour combo unit.

If you can get away with a B&W combo unit this Eagle unit is about you're best bet.

    Good one Dave.

I have never heard a FISHfinder as loud as PHISHfinder

If so, could you imagine how many batteries it would take to power that sucker???

I'd be more interested in a good "off" button.
