    Smile bunnies 'n' birds

Got tired of chopping firewood yesterday, so I got out Mr. Winchester 9410 and tromped the bushes looking for white bunnies in a brown environment. I jumped a dozen or so, getting shots off on 4 fuzzballs. I also got lucky enough to drop 3 spruce grouse, one of which died on the pine bow about 15' up, sending my tree climbing butt up the trunk.

Got home and had my boy help me clean them, boiled them, breaded them, and fried them. Kiddo's cleaned them up.

My boy's buddy was at the house and he got an eyefull as he watched and eventually helped clean the birds and bunnies; seems his folks don't do such barbaric food gathering. He stayed for dinner and got a real education - and cleaned his plate.

Firewood cutting, and hunting, I love AK!

good writeup and picture perfect. Nice going, introducing your son's friend to wildgame. Now, see if you can take him out with you.

    Default Priceless moments...

Quite a few special images in this post, C&B - thanks for sharing. That's an interesting shotgun there too - becoming a collector's piece by and by I guess.

One image I'd like to have seen though...the look on your face at this particular moment:

Sounds like a good time. I was hoping to go along on one of these with you. I'll be back from deployment in Jan.

Carefull with that thousand dollar gun!!! LMAO!

I remember seeing one of those at sportsmans. I had a hard time between choosing that one or the 9417. I went with the 9417. Well after some shooting I decided I didn't like that gun as much as my marlin in .17 so I gave that gun away, cause no one would buy it.

A few months later I start getting calls from people out of state that heard I had one of the 9417's for sale. So I get to checking around and sure as crap, that gun is now worth 1500.00!!!

I looked into the 9410, yep that one is now 1000.00!!!

Anyway, I think originaly I could have bought both for 700.00 brand new.
