    Thumbs up Shipping your gear

Have any of you used fish totes to shio your gear to the field? I have a few of them around and they're great for keeping stuff contained and protected during shipping. I ship outboards in them, raft tubes, and all sorts of other stuff to my air charter. On the back-haul I can ship game meat without having the expense and hassle of fish boxes.

I recently saw some fish totes from Arctic Wire Rope and Supply in Anchorage that would be ideal for this purpose, and they were charging under $300 each for them! Give it a try; you'd be surprised how handy they are.

Back when I worked for the FAA we used those fish totes to ship all kinds of things all around the state. Best method there is to ship stuff IMO.
