More pintails than I have ever seen here. Not to many teal, but I don't hunt where they hang out. Mallards are nice and fat.

looks like we had a good hatch this year. Just curious if you guys down in the warmer climate have seen more cans this year than usual in past years. if so, it might mean many are breeding in ak or western canada's boreal forest. unless those ducks shoot straight down. i bet you guys have been knocking the ducks out of the sky pretty good. wish i had some of my own duck reports but if all goes well and as planned i'll have me a boat fur next year. still good warm weather as far as keeping the ponds from icing up but from the feel of it think that will be changing here soon.

on the kenai flats? yes they are around. i heard them and also heard snows one morning as i walked out the front door at 2am from work. i need to walk out to the flats and enjoy the great fall weather before it's all over. i have 3 days off next week and hope they are still around.

The big storm last weekend was awesome! 10 mallards, 2 teal and 2 pintail for the pup. Haven't been out in the snow yet though. Should be getting good with the valley freezing up....I hope Auke Lake freezes before the end of the season.

Anybody doing good on seaducks? Might try for some this weekend.
    Nice Marmot.

nice to hear some reports from ya's down there. we have a duck club in calif in the central valley and it's just cool to know where some ducks might be. i won't be making the trip out of state this year but i bet the hunting can be pretty awesome for a good length of time in juneau and around that area.
