Too good a price to pass up?
Guys I have a place that I can pick up a brand new in box Marlin 336 in 30-30 for $330 out the door. Is that too good to pass on? I have been thinking of getting the 1894 in 44 mag since I have a revolver in that same caliber, but those start at $500. I know 30-30 is a great caliber and will outperform the 44 a little at the longer ranges... maybe I should just pick this 336 up and wait for the 44 for a time down the road?
What do you think? Oh and I really like the marlins... so it'll be one or the other.
Mid 1960s and newer Winchesters 94s and Marlin 336s in 30-30 have been selling used in the $300 to $400 range lately. The MSRP on the Mossberg copy of the 94 is about $350 so I would say thatís a very good price you found, but not unheard of on a new Marlin. Hope that helps some.
I would get one at that price, and if they have others there please let me know I will.
Sounds like a screamin' deal. I lucked out on my Model 1895 .450 Marlin too. Out the door for $450.
The other 299,300,000 people can have it.
