    Default Somebody stop her...

She has already kicked my butt bear and moose hunting this year and now BUNNY hunting! Kayla and I ran up the road yesterday to look for some birds and rabbits and she beat me again. We first ran into 3 Sharptails and Kayla missed them all but next we ran into a Spruce chicken to which I then missed. Next we seperate about 30 yards from each other and enter a big willow patch and right away I flushed a rabbit, shot 3 times, and then watched it curve to the left towards Kayla. I then hear ONE shot from my grandpa's old single shot 20 gage along with,"got him dad"...

Last weekend we pulled the boats, stacked firewood and locked up the cabin till trapping season. This summer we got the outhouse built and the outside of the cabin sanded, chinked and stained along with some brushwork done.
Finally, with all the women in my life complaining over the last seven years, no more squating..

Sanding took up most of the summer with it taking me two full days per side. I think my ears are still ringing from the grinder...

My efforts really started to show when we started applying the stain...

Should hold heat even better this winter after sealing up the outside...

I leave most of my gear out hanging at my sets but these are hanging at the cabin and ready for use!

Nice place trail. It would be really nice if you put a little deck on the stair side to get rid of the climb to the outhouse.

    I know I'm getting old.

Again nice place, enjoy all your hard work.

Wow Steve, you have a little piece of heaven there! It looks more like "home" to me! Good luck this season!

Nicely done, Steve. My nephew and I got into some hares as well, though we didn't go quite as far as you. Glad to see the hunting was good all the way around.

Nice place, but that 10 foot werner ladder is kind of a visual crash. Maybe you could stain that ladder. Otherwise, I'm jealous.. Ken

Heck no I'm not going to stop her, or even try! 1 shot with an older 20 ga single shot? Not me! Congratulations on the fine hunting partner! Neat cabin too

Sounds to me like you are an enabler. She seems to have a lot of opportunity to smack you around. GOOD GOING, keep it up !! Kids are GREAT !!!

Looks like Kayla has this hunting thing all figured out, bet you are one proud father!

Wow Steve your cabin has come a long way it looks amazing! Love the furs you have hanging on the wall going from smallest to largest. Your cabin away from home is nicer than a lot of peoples day to day homes I have been in.
