That's pretty darn big. I am not an expert at this moose anter judging gig, but I'd say over 65".

Do you just have this picture, or are his hind quarters gracing your dinner plate?

Sadly just the pic, was in a drawing area and no permit. he was near a 50 plus bull and dwarfed him

Definately on his last legs. Wide spread on his antlers, that's for sure.

I watched this old boy for several years, I'm sure he made lots of youngsters and spread his genes.

I would put him in the 60" class. "generally" when the beams droop you know they are pushing 60+
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

I would guess him around 72", he is very wide indeed.

He's a big 'en for sure. I'm staring at a 67" on my wall...brag...and he seems larger than that to me. I'll say 69.75"...

2005 was the last year I saw him I think, didnt survive that winter, I first saw him about three years earlier. There is also a member here who knows where that moose lived, he shot a little paddle just before I showed him this bull when he was prime. I wasn;t able to moose hunt this year as I went out of state for a funeral, just running through pictures

i've got a 65 on my wall, (booner, brag lol) and he don't look like that. most of them splayed out like that with the spread are gonna almost hit 70 or better. over all, i'd say he was legal....

    Default 72 inches

Most moose have 8 inches of hide between the rack, If you extrapolate that out then it comes to 72"
