Default Mt. Bike CAMPING....Cargo Racks....Panniers, Etc.

Looking for information on setting up a Mountain Bike for hauling camping gear. Either via using racks or some type of tow behind cart or trailer. Request any info. books/websites/magazines/etc.

I used an old two-kid hauling trailer for hauling gear. I also bought a hitch from REI that connects to my bike and built a homemade trailer. I don't have any fancy racks, just a cheap Fred Meyer rack that attaches to my seat post.

The BOB trailer is the way to go. Get the standard BOB, not the one with the shock. I've never felt the need for a rear shock on the trailer, as the standard one rides really well without it.
