Default Going to Kodiak: Goat Hunting

    Hi guys,
A buddy and I drew the road system tag and I was just looking for any last minute advice. We are leaving on Saturday and praying for good weather. I've been there once for brown bears, so I'm familiar with the terrain. Also, I have a couple goat hunts under my belt. I'm looking for a mature Billy with a good coat. I'll be hunting with my recurve. I hear the road system tags are pretty good. Any tips?
    Thanks

I shot a 10 1/4 goat on the south road system last year. If i were you I would check out the marin range you can be in goat country in half a days hike from the road but expect company. Kalsin ridge is also good and can be accessed from the sultry tail by ATV.

    Default Shot 2 Goats

My brother and I just got back from Kodiak and shot 2 goats on the North Road system. Do you have north or south road system tags?

I have the North Road system. How big were your goats? Any tips or best places to go?
