the regulations booklet is a great place to start. It even lists stocked lakes.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

Hardly any lakes are stocked within an hour or two of Valdez, from the looks of it. Ruth Lake (Pond) got about 1,000 rainbows and Thompson Lake got about the same number of tiny grayling. I'd drive up to the Glenn Highway and hit some of the lakes up there if you want rainbows. No idea on grayling or other species.

You can look at the ADFG lake stocking page to browse all the stocked lakes. Rainbows are pretty aggressive and will hit little lures like Rapalas and Mepps, probably just about anything if they're in the mood. I'm clueless on what works on grayling. Have fun while the lakes are ice free. Tough to fish a fly once the water hardens, I imagine.
