Default Fly rods made in the U.S.

I know St Croix and Lamiglass make some of their rods in the U.S. What other rods are U.S. made?

    Default Winston Rods

I fish mostly Winston rods. All of their rod lines except for the Vapor and the Ascent are made in Twin Bridges, Montana. Winston has rolled their own blanks there since 1994. In the earlier days of graphite Winston blanks were rolled by first J. Kennedy Fisher and then Loomis to Winston's specifications.

It's easy to tell which of their rods are U.S. made because they are the dark green ones. The Vapor is an olive-green and the Ascent is a champagne/russet. They had another rod line made overseas that has since been discontinued called the Ibis that was a burgundy colored.

They also still make bamboo rods in Montana. They no longer produce fiberglass rods, but all of their fiberglass rods from the past were either produced in San Fransciso or Montana.

That's what I was wondering about. The Launch is discontinued and will be replaced by the Vantage series. Nice rods for the price, and made in the USA.

I said most just to cover my but if the launch series was imported. i have yet to put my hands on one. Many rod companies are importing their bottom of the line rods so I assumed sage might be doing the same.
Please do correct me if I am wrong.

    Default US rods

    Some others also

    Thomas & Thomas

Some blanks from Batson made in the st croix plant

It is funny though as many of you know many rods are made in china and so on at the same plant for many big names in fishing..sad

TFO is a fast growing name..Lefty says he wanted to rep a company with lower cost for the angler to fish quality..sad but in many angles very true i guess

I just built a Winston and two Batson (st croix) Blanks.. proud to pay for USA made

    Hey roknjs,
I had a tour of the Loomis facilty approx 1-1/2 years ago and all their rods were made in house at that time. The one process they outsource is the installing of the guides which is performed by local companies.
