    Default Haul Road Caribou Status

    Hello All!!!

Does anyone have an update on the caribou on the Haul Road? Are there any animals near the road? Is there snow cover yet? We are planning on packing the five miles in and trying our luck with rifles. Are there any abmormally serious traffic hazards on the road itself?

    Thanks

There are a number of recent threads on this forum and the bowhunting forum on this topic. Run a search, as some folks have been up there recently.

BTW - are you really Walter Mondale?

I was up there about two weeks ago and saw a bunch of caribou north of toolik lake. The highs were luckily in the 60s the couple days we were there but i bet the situation up there has changed drastically since i was up there.
