    Default Rear Winch Mount?

Has anyone mounted a Winch on the back of a Yammy Big bear? Sometimes I wish I didn't get my self into some situations and being able to pull myself out when alone would be nice.

I've thought about this very thing - specifically, if you could use a mini hitch receiver set up on both the front and the rear, and run power leads to each as well. Then you have your winch on a movable plate and use it wherever needed!!

Guess I hadn't looked too much before. Found this, which is just what I was thinking of: http://www.montanajacks.com/html/themes/hitches.htm

Although I can't attest to their quality. Also, not ALL models are listed.

on my Polaris 500 the winch mounting bracket is two pegs that the winch slides in that are pinned on for both the front and back with power connections at both ends. This way I can use the winch on either end and I have a small carrier that a small cooler fits in that uses the brackets as well. I am sure there is one for your rig as well.

The few times a person need a rear wench, why not just carry a come-a-long.

    Default Yep

Come-a-long works good. But I need a winter project and this sounded pretty cool. I though it would also make one heck of a long skdder if done right.
