Default A week with Lee, Tiffany and the Crush Crew

During one of the seminars this spring I mentioned to a few people that Lee and Tiffany Lakosky were coming to hunt bears with us this year. I can't remember if I posted about their hunt...if so I apologize for the double post....but if I didn't...here you go. We have made some great friends in the hunting industry the last couple of years...between Jay Gregory and The Wild Outdoors to Lee and Tiffany this year.

During the second week of June this year, my hunting partners and I were fortunate to host Lee, Tiffany and two of the best darn camera men/producers in the buisness, Nate and George in our bear camp here in interior Alaska. We are not outfitters running a paid guide serivice....we are just passionate about bear hunting and invited the Crush Crew to our camp this year for nothing more than fun and to make some new friends.

I wanted to give you our honest opinion of the Crush crew since we have nothing invested in sponsors, advertisements...etc. We did not know Lee and Tiffany and had never met them before they walked off the airplane.

I knew the week was going to he a hoot when I sent my 5 year old up to Lee, just coming out of the terminal into baggage claim and he tugged on his shirt and asked him "Are you Michael Waddell?" Lee got a kick out of it and the fun just continued from there.

Throughout our week with the crew we could not have a had a better time with better people. Lee and Tiffany hunt their butts off, sitting up to 14 hours a day watching bears waiting for "shooters". They were a blast around camp and were a pleasure to hunt with and spend time with. I learned a lot about the hunting industry and what goes into making these shows a reality, from planting thousands of acres of food plots, to the buisness side of things. These folks dish it out as well as they take it and treated us like family from the get go.

For all of you who ask...."I wonder if they are really as nice and down to earth as they are on t.v.".....or for those who have only shook their hand and got a picture at a show who have wondered if they are always that nice....I can tell you they are and we can't wait to hunt with them again.

Since some pictures are posted on their website, I feel it is ok to post some here as well. Tiffany, George and Nate all took nice bears with George's squaring 6'10" and 19 4/16 on the skull. Lee hunted like a man possesed, but never saw that 7 footer he was looking for.

Do you know how many bows will be sold with that picture???????
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

I clearly overlooked that. Good job on gettin in on that gig. Event of a lifetime.

I'm still holding out hope that either Hank Jr. or Ted Nugent will call me up and take me on a moose hunt after the state fair.

I've spent some time with them too and will also agree that they are as genuine and nice as you could hope for. Glad you extended the offer to them and hope it builds a great friendship.
