    Question Native Land Maps

Where might one locate detailed Native Land Maps? All I have found are "general" vast boundary areas.
I'm looking specifically for the Seldovia area.
    Thanks!

Send DPhillips a pm. He works for one of the regional corporation's land offices and has been a wealth of info on the subject. Nice guy to boot!

Best bet I've found so far is the property ownership map the burrough has online. Don't have the web address anymore.

I'd look at the Kenai Borough GIS viewer
    http://mapserver.borough.kenai.ak.us/kpbmapviewer/

if for some reason it won't open, go to this link and click on "Interactive Parcel Viewer"
    http://www.borough.kenai.ak.us/GISDept/

Select "ownership" under Map Display. Under navigation zoom in until it shows sections, and the land ownership will display.

    Question allotment vs. land?

What's the difference btw "Native Allotment" and "Native Land"?

Call the Seldovia Native Assn. office 234-7625.
They should be able to steer you in the right direction.
Also try http://www.snai.com/landholdings.htm, looks like there are a few maps on there.

Default Individual allotments vs. Corporation lands

A Native Allotment is a parcel owned by an individual and acquired under either the Alaska Native Allotment Act of 1906 or the Alaska Native Veterans Land Allotment Equity Act. "Native Land" is land owned by a corporation formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).

    Default Thanks!

I was just curious more than anything on that last question.
I am looking at what areas are available to hunt without a Native Permit.

    Thanks!
