Default 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 Electrical Problem

I recently replace my battery to my 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700. I thought the battery was dead, but after installing the new battery, I'm still not getting electrical power, except for the winch. Not sure how to fix this. Anyone have similar issues? I thought maybe fuse, but can't find any.

There is a autoresetting circuit breaker that is housed inline inside of a little black square plastic boot in the wire harness above the front wheels.....this has a habit of cracking and water getting inside....corroding and not resetting. This is common for machines used in and around a lot of water and mud.

    Default At a loss here

Is it located in a black pouch that's sealed?

It doesn't look like anything's wrong from the outside. Can you clean corroded wire connectors?

yes....you can carefully slit the pouch and pinch to see if moisture is present and reseal. Do the backlights come on in the speedo when you turn the ignition switch on? Sorry for taking so long to get back with you...you can pm me for my phone # if you want and I will try to walk you through it.

If that is the problem . you can either replace the circuit breaker or put a fusible link on it, the fusible link won't rust or corode.

Check your ignition switch. If you have power to your winch I am assuming it is hooked directly to the battery. Take the plug out of the back of your ignition switch and if the third prong has a whole burned around it that is your problem. Just go buy a new switch.
